**Lucknow, [Date of Publication]:** The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced the results of the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable examination, clearing the air regarding the non-disclosure of individual marks. A total of 174,316 candidates have been shortlisted for the next stages of the recruitment process, out of nearly 32 lakh who appeared for the exam. This represents 2.5 times the number of vacancies (60,244).
The Board clarified that the release of individual candidate marks will be deferred until the completion of the entire recruitment process, a standard practice followed by various recruiting bodies, including the UPSC. The recently announced list is only the result of the first stage—the written exam. Candidates will need to undergo Document Verification (DV), Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and a medical examination before the final merit list is published. The successful candidates will be called for DV and PST in the third week of December 2024, followed by PET for those who qualify in the third week of January 2025.
The cut-off marks vary across categories. For the general category, it is 214 for men and 203 for women. The cut-offs for other categories are also available in the official release. The re-exam for the constable recruitment was held on August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31, 2024, across 10 shifts. The results were normalized due to the multi-shift examination process. The UPPRPB has requested candidates to remain patient and await the final results to maintain the integrity and transparency of the recruitment process.
