**BENGALURU, November 21, 2024** – A new free online curriculum focused on the Indo-Pacific region was launched today at Christ (Deemed to be University) in Bengaluru. The Indo-Pacific Curriculum (IPC), a collaborative effort between the Indo-Pacific Circle, the Centre for East Asian Studies at Christ University, and the Council for Strategic and Defense Research, was funded by a grant from the U.S. Consulate General Chennai.
US Consul General Chris Hodges unveiled the curriculum, which offers a comprehensive exploration of the geopolitical, social, and environmental dynamics of the Indo-Pacific region. The IPC features a series of online lectures delivered by 18 scholars from India and the Indo-Pacific, covering topics ranging from the region’s diversity and trade to climate change, maritime security, and migration.
“The Indo-Pacific Curriculum inspires participants to ask critical questions, promote inclusive engagement, and work toward a united future,” said Mr. Hodges at the launch event.
