To be eligible, applicants must have a condition that severely limits their daily activities for at least 12 months or is expected to result in death. Payment amounts vary based on filing status, with individuals receiving up to $943, couples up to $1,415, and essential persons providing care up to $472. These amounts reflect a 3.2% increase from last year to account for inflation.
