**Georgetown, Guyana – November 22, 2024** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded a highly productive five-day visit to three nations, returning to India on Thursday. His tour included stops in Nigeria, Brazil, and Guyana.

The trip marked the culmination of a significant diplomatic push, beginning with Modi’s first visit to Nigeria in 17 years. There, he engaged in bilateral talks with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, met with the Indian diaspora, and received Nigeria’s highest national honor, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON).

From Nigeria, Modi traveled to Brazil for the G20 Summit, holding talks with numerous world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

The final leg of the journey took Modi to Guyana, the first visit by an Indian head of state in over 50 years. He co-chaired the second India-CARICOM Summit with Caribbean leaders, addressed Guyana’s Parliament, and interacted with the Indian community. He was also bestowed with Guyana’s highest award, the Order of Excellence, by President Irfaan Ali.

The Ministry of External Affairs announced Modi’s departure from Guyana, describing the visit as “very warm & productive.” The Prime Minister’s tour underscores India’s growing engagement with Africa, South America, and the Caribbean.
