Thu Nov 21 22:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Norwegian Cruise Line Cancels 38 Cruises, Affecting Three Ships

**MIAMI, FL – [Date of Publication]** – Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced the cancellation of 38 cruises across three of its ships: the Norwegian Jewel, Norwegian Star, and Norwegian Dawn. The cancellations, effective between November 2025 and April 2026, affect itineraries ranging from Caribbean and Bahamian cruises to South American, Antarctic, African, and Asian voyages.

The Norwegian Jewel’s entire Caribbean and Bahamas schedule (16 cruises) from November 23, 2025, to April 5, 2026, has been scrapped. Similarly, the Norwegian Star’s complete South America and Antarctica season (11 cruises) between November 20, 2025, and April 14, 2026, is cancelled. The Norwegian Dawn’s African and Asian itineraries (11 cruises) from November 2, 2025, to April 12, 2026, have also been removed from the schedule.

NCL cites fleet redeployment as the reason for the cancellations. Affected passengers will receive full refunds to their original form of payment, along with a 10% Future Cruise Credit (FCC). Travel agents will retain their commissions on fully paid bookings.

In addition to these large-scale cancellations, NCL also cancelled a 14-night South Pacific cruise on the Norwegian Sun (August 7, 2025) and two cruises on the Norwegian Getaway (August 17 and 21, 2026) due to a ship charter.

NCL is notifying affected passengers directly regarding the changes and will announce any potential replacement sailings in due course.
