**Hyderabad, India:** Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha, released on bail last August from Tihar Jail in connection with the Delhi liquor scam, has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, questioning their silence on the US case against Gautam Adani. In a series of tweets, her first political statements since her release, she drew a stark comparison between the swift arrest of herself, despite a lack of evidence, and the apparent lack of action against Adani, despite alleged evidence of wrongdoing.
“Is there justice for Adani in Akhand Bharat, and justice for a daughter?” she questioned, alleging that her arrest was easy due to her gender, even without substantiating evidence. She directly challenged Modi, asking why he seems to favor Adani despite repeated allegations.
Kavitha’s tweets have gone viral, garnering thousands of likes and comments within hours. Her outspoken remarks following her release are seen by many as a signal of her political re-entry, sparking discussions within BRS circles. Prior to this, she had only shared a photo with her father and former Chief Minister KCR and a photo with the message “Satyameva Jayate”. This latest outburst marks a significant return to the political arena for the MLC.
