Fri Nov 22 12:45:34 UTC 2024: ## IPL 2025 Mega Auction Shadowed by Bowling Action Controversy

**Jeddah, Saudi Arabia** – The highly anticipated IPL 2025 mega auction, set to begin Sunday in Jeddah, has been overshadowed by a report revealing that India all-rounder Deepak Hooda is under suspicion for an illegal bowling action. The two-day auction will see 1,574 players vying for contracts.

According to Cricbuzz, Hooda, along with Saurabh Dubey and KC Cariappa, are under investigation by the BCCI for suspect bowling actions. While Manish Pandey and Shrijith Krishnan have already been banned from bowling, Hooda faces potential suspension. This news comes as a blow to Hooda, who was released by the Lucknow Super Giants after a lackluster IPL 2024 season.

Despite the controversy, the auction will proceed as planned, featuring a number of notable players including injury-prone England pacer Jofra Archer, Indian-born American pacer Saurabh Netravalkar, and uncapped Mumbai wicketkeeper-batter Hardik Tamore.

The BCCI has also announced the dates for the next three IPL seasons in an effort to aid franchise planning. IPL 2026 will run from March 15th to May 31st, and IPL 2027 from March 14th to May 30th. All three seasons will conclude with finals on a Sunday.
