**GURUGRAM, INDIA (November 21, 2024)** – A 35-year-old liquor businessman, Prateek Sachdeva, was arrested in Gurugram on Thursday for allegedly pointing a revolver at a 12-year-old boy following a dispute between children playing football. The incident, which occurred Tuesday evening in the park of Lagoon Apartments in DLF Phase 3, was captured on video and subsequently circulated on social media.
According to Gurugram Police, the altercation began between children playing football. One child reported the incident to his father, who then retrieved his licensed revolver and confronted the children in the park, pointing the weapon at the 12-year-old boy. The video also shows Sachdeva’s wife intervening and attempting to de-escalate the situation.
Police responded to a complaint filed by the boy’s father and arrested Sachdeva, seizing his licensed revolver. He was later released on bail pending further investigation. Charges under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act have been filed against him. The investigation is ongoing.
