Fri Nov 22 14:54:48 UTC 2024: ## Red Force, Scorpions, Hurricanes, and Pride Vie for Super50 Glory

**Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago** – The CG United Super50 Cup is down to its final four, with Trinidad & Tobago Red Force, Jamaica Scorpions, Leeward Islands Hurricanes, and Barbados Pride battling for regional limited-overs supremacy. The tournament, impacted by rain but consistently thrilling, saw the Red Force top the standings with five wins from seven matches, their success built on strong spin bowling (led by Khary Pierre’s 4/8 in the opener) and a formidable batting partnership between Kjorn Ottley and Amir Jangoo. Ottley’s recent unbeaten 112 against Barbados Pride highlighted their dominance.

The Scorpions, recovering from an initial loss, secured second place thanks to Carlos Brown’s maiden List A century and consistent performances from Kirk McKenzie and Marquino Mindley. The Hurricanes, meanwhile, entertained with Justin Greaves’ three consecutive List A centuries, complemented by Rahkeem Cornwall’s impressive bowling figures, including a recent 6/20. Barbados Pride clinched their semi-final spot through close victories, showcasing batting depth and a fighting spirit epitomized by captain Kyle Mayers’ last-over heroics.

Cricket West Indies Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe praised the tournament’s improvement, noting the effectiveness of the bonus points system and the high quality of play. He urged fans to attend the matches at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

The semifinals will take place on November 20th (Red Force vs. Barbados Pride) and 21st (Scorpions vs. Hurricanes), with the final on November 23rd. The winners will receive US$100,000, runners-up US$50,000, and both semi-finalists US$25,000. Matches will be broadcast on ESPN Caribbean, with international coverage on ESPN+, BT Sport, and FanCode.
