**Tarouba, Trinidad –** Barbados Pride stormed into the final of the CG United Super50 Cup with a resounding 153-run victory over defending champions Trinidad and Tobago Red Force yesterday at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy. Zachary McCaskie’s magnificent 94 led Pride to a tournament-high 339/7, a total the Red Force never came close to matching, ultimately bowled out for 186 in 36.3 overs.
McCaskie, named Player of the Match, and Leniko Boucher (69) established a dominant opening partnership of 142 runs, capitalizing on a flat pitch that offered little assistance to the bowlers. McCaskie’s innings was studded with six fours and six sixes. Raymon Reifer also contributed a valuable 65. Mark Deyal was the pick of the Red Force bowlers, taking 4/53, but his efforts were largely overshadowed by the Pride’s powerful batting display.
The Red Force’s chase faltered early, losing four wickets within the first 16 overs for a paltry 91 runs. Despite Tion Webster’s 56, the middle and lower order crumbled, unable to cope with the demanding target. Mark Deyal’s 36 was a lone bright spot in an otherwise dismal performance. Dominic Drakes, Roston Chase and Kemar Smith led the Pride’s bowling attack, securing 3, 2 and 2 wickets respectively.
The victory avenges Barbados Pride’s earlier loss to the Red Force in the preliminary round. They will now face the winners of today’s semi-final between Jamaica Scorpions and Leeward Islands Hurricanes.
