Thu Nov 21 19:43:47 UTC 2024: ## Maharashtra Exit Polls Predict BJP-Led Alliance Victory

**Mumbai, India** – Exit polls for the Maharashtra Assembly elections predict a significant victory for the BJP-led Mahayuati alliance. However, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance remains hopeful for a different outcome when the official results are announced.

Axis My India’s exit poll projects the Mahayuati alliance securing between 178 and 200 seats, while the MVA is projected to win between 82 and 102 seats. Independents are predicted to win 6 to 12 seats. The Mahayuati alliance is projected to receive 48% of the vote share, compared to 37% for the MVA.

Regional breakdowns show a strong performance for the Mahayuati across all regions. In Mumbai, Mahayuati is projected to win 22 seats (45% vote share) against MVA’s 14 (43% vote share). Similar trends are observed in Konkan-Thane (Mahayuati 24 seats, 50% vote share), Marathwada (Mahayuati 30 seats, 45% vote share), North Maharashtra (Mahayuati 38 seats, 53% vote share), Western Maharashtra (Mahayuati 36 seats, 48% vote share), and Vidarbha (Mahayuati 39 seats, 48% vote share).

While the exit polls suggest a clear victory for the BJP-led alliance, the MVA maintains a confident outlook, anticipating a potential upset when the official election results are declared. The exit poll also suggests a tight race for the Chief Minister’s position, with several prominent figures potentially in contention. The full list of contenders has not been revealed by Axis My India.
