**Baku, Azerbaijan –** Asia Venture Philanthropy (AVPN), Asia’s largest network of social investors, launched a new $5 million fund aimed at addressing the intersection of climate change and health in vulnerable Asian communities. The “Climate x Health: Lighthouse for Asia” Fund, supported by the Bayer Foundation, was announced at COP29 in Baku.

The fund will provide grants of up to $200,000 to non-profit organizations developing innovative solutions to mitigate the health impacts of climate change. Focus areas include food security, infectious disease management, water and sanitation, and climate-health intelligence systems. AVPN will utilize a data-driven approach to ensure effective resource allocation and measure the impact of its investments.

Beyond funding, the initiative will offer capacity-building support and networking opportunities within AVPN’s extensive network. The fund represents a significant step towards addressing the scarcity of climate adaptation funding specifically focused on health in Asia.
