**Sangli, Maharashtra, November 22, 2024** – A blast at a fertiliser plant in Sangli district, Maharashtra, resulted in three fatalities and nine injuries, police confirmed today. The incident, which occurred at the Myanmar Chemical Company, was caused by a toxic gas leak.

Among the deceased are two women, Suchita Uthale (50) and Neelam Rethrekar (26), and a security guard. The plant owner was also injured and is receiving treatment at a hospital in Pune, along with his critically injured son. The remaining nine injured individuals are also receiving medical attention.
