**Kozhikode, November 18, 2024:** Gokulam Kerala FC will play their home matches in the 2024-25 I-League season at the EMS Stadium in Kozhikode. Their first home game is scheduled for December 3rd at 7 PM against Aizawl FC of Mizoram. The second home match will be against Churchill Brothers FC Goa on December 7th.
The team, under new Spanish coach Antonio Rueda, has been training for the past three months. They recently won the Climate Cup in Leh, playing with an all-Indian squad. Gokulam Kerala FC boasts a strong squad featuring experienced Indian players like VP Suhair, Michael Soosairaj, Mashur Sheriff, and Salam Ranjan, alongside foreign players including former Barcelona B player Abelardo, Sergio (Spain), Martin Chavez (Uruguay), and Adama (Mali).
The club aims to win its third I-League title and secure promotion to the ISL. Currently training at the Payyanad Stadium in Manjeri, the team departs on November 20th for their opening match against Sreenidhi FC in Hyderabad on November 22nd.
“The EMS Stadium is where we’ve played since the club’s inception,” said club president VC Praveen. “The support we receive from Kozhikode is fantastic, so it’s wonderful to continue playing our I-League matches here.”
