RATNAGIRI, January 21 – The village deity of Ratnagiri, Shri Dev Bhairav, will be celebrated with a day-long Jayanti on Saturday, January 23rd, at the Bhairav Temple in Trimbakeshwar. The festivities, organized by the Bhairav Devasthan, will feature a full schedule of religious and cultural events throughout the day.
The day will begin with an Abhishek ceremony at 7:30 AM, followed by a Havan and Satyanarayan Mahapuja. The schedule includes the recital of Kalabhairavaashtak at 9:30 AM, distribution of Maha Prasad at 12 PM, and a series of devotional music performances by various Bhajan Mandals throughout the afternoon and evening. These include performances by Shri Dattprasadika Bhajan Mandal (Bhandup), Shri Swami Samarth Bhajan Mandal (Kelye), and others, culminating in a Kirtan by Buwa Praveen Mulye at 3:30 PM. The evening will continue with more Bhajan Mandals performing until the final Aarti at midnight.
The Devasthan has extended an invitation to all residents of Ratnagiri and devotees to participate in the celebrations.
