Thu Nov 21 07:50:07 UTC 2024: ## Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Result Declared: 174,316 Shortlisted for Next Stage
**Lucknow, [Date of Publication]:** The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has declared the results for the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable recruitment exam 2023. A total of 174,316 candidates, 2.5 times the number of vacancies (60,244), have been shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process.
The results are available on the UPPRPB website, uppbpb.gov.in, and a direct link has also been provided. Candidates can access their results by entering their registration number and date of birth.
The general category cutoff is 214.04644. All candidates with equal marks at the cutoff have been selected. Due to the exam being conducted in multiple shifts, normalization was applied to the scores.
Successful candidates will be called for Document Verification and Physical Standard Test (DV/PST) in the third week of December 2024. Those who clear the DV/PST will then proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) in the third week of January 2024.
Approximately 32 lakh candidates appeared for the re-exam held from August 23rd to 31st, 2024, across 10 shifts, out of nearly 48 lakh registrations. The board reviewed objections to the question papers and answer keys, incorporating expert opinions to make revisions which are now available on the website.
**Cut-off Details:** Specific cut-offs were released for various categories, including reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST) and special categories such as freedom fighter dependents and ex-servicemen. The cut-off for freedom fighter dependents was notably lower.
**Physical Standards:** The notification includes details on the required physical standards for both male and female candidates, specifying height and chest measurements for different categories. The physical tests involve running distances (4.8 km for men in 25 minutes, 2.4 km for women in 14 minutes).
The board clarified that individual marks will be released only after the entire recruitment process – including DV, PST, PET, medical examination, and final selection – is completed. The board also addressed the possibility of additional candidates being called for DV/PST if the required number of candidates are not successful in the initial stages.
The UPPRPB also announced the filing of chargesheets against 38 individuals in connection with the paper leak that necessitated the re-examination.
