Thu Nov 21 12:16:06 UTC 2024: **UP Police Constable Recruitment Result Announced: Over 1.7 Million Clear Written Exam**

LUCKNOW, INDIA – November 21, 2024 – The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) today released the results of the written examination for the Constable (Civil Police) recruitment, held in August 2024. A remarkable 1,734,316 candidates have successfully cleared the exam, out of a total of 4,817,441 registered applicants.

The results are available on the official website, uppbpb.gov.in. Successful candidates can access their results using their registration number and password. The cutoff marks vary by category, with general category males scoring a minimum of 214 and females 203. Lower cutoffs apply to other reserved categories.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the successful candidates via Twitter.

The next stage of the recruitment process, the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Document Verification (DV), is scheduled for the third week of December 2024. Candidates who pass the PST will then proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) in the third week of January 2025. Detailed information regarding the venue, date, and time for the PST/DV will be published on the UPPRPB website.

The written exam, conducted over ten shifts across 1174 centers in 67 districts, saw approximately 34.6 lakh male and 15 lakh female candidates participate. In cases of tied scores, the tie-breaking policy will prioritize candidates with higher qualifications and then older age. The board clarified that approximately 174,000 candidates – roughly 2.5 times the number of advertised vacancies – have been shortlisted for the next stage.
