**Mysuru, November 21, 2024** – Over 350 students from across Karnataka showcased their innovative projects at the SRUJANA 2024 science expo held at JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (AHER) on Thursday. The competition, themed “Indigenous Technology for Viksit Bharat,” encouraged students to develop solutions using locally sourced resources and traditional knowledge.
Projects on display ranged from sustainable development solutions and renewable energy initiatives to the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare and cost-effective solutions for a prosperous India. The expo highlighted the potential of indigenous technology to address national challenges and contribute to India’s development goals.
M.S. Chandrashekar, professor of physics and convener of the Centre for Science Education in Schools, University of Mysore, emphasized the importance of science and technological innovation for a developed India. K.A. Raveesha, dean of the School of Life Sciences at JSS AHER, urged students to translate their ideas into practical models that benefit society. The event underscored the growing interest in applying indigenous technologies to solve modern problems.
