**Mumbai, India** – Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), a major player in Indian railway infrastructure, has secured a new contract worth Rs 294.94 crore from South Central Railway. The project involves doubling a 33.70 km stretch of track between Navipet and Indalvai stations in Telangana, including electrification and signaling work, as part of the Mudkhed-Medchal doubling project. The work is expected to be completed within 24 months.

Despite this positive development, RVNL shares traded 1.01% lower at Rs 415.55 on the BSE, with a market capitalization of Rs 86,643 crore. The company’s Q2 FY25 net profit fell 27.24% year-on-year to Rs 286.88 crore, while revenue dipped slightly to Rs 4,854.95 crore. However, on a sequential basis, both profit and revenue showed growth.

Analysts note that RVNL shares exhibit high volatility (beta of 1.5), and while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) suggests neither overbought nor oversold conditions, the share price is currently trading below several key moving averages.
