**Amersham, Buckinghamshire –** A moving farewell ceremony was held Wednesday for Liam Payne, the former One Direction singer who tragically died at age 31 on October 16th. The intimate service at St. Mary’s Church in Amersham was attended by a host of celebrities and Payne’s loved ones.

All four surviving members of One Direction – Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik – were present to pay their respects, along with Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy and ex-partner Cheryl, mother of his seven-year-old son, Bear. Cheryl was seen comforting Payne’s family, joined by her former Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts.

The funeral also drew a large number of high-profile mourners from the entertainment industry. Simon Cowell, the mastermind behind One Direction’s creation on *The X Factor*, attended with his fiancée Lauren Silverman. Other notable attendees included James Corden, Marvin and Rochelle Humes, Scott Mills, and Adrian Chiles.

Payne’s coffin, adorned with floral tributes spelling “son” and “daddy,” was carried into the church by a white horse-drawn hearse. A unique floral arrangement in the shape of 10-pin bowling pins, a nod to one of Payne’s hobbies, was also a poignant tribute.

Payne’s death followed a fatal fall from a third-floor hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. An autopsy confirmed severe internal and external injuries. He rose to international stardom with One Direction, selling over 70 million records worldwide, and enjoyed a successful solo career with hits like “Strip That Down” and “Bedroom Floor.” He is survived by his parents, two sisters, and his son, Bear. The family previously released a statement describing Payne as “kind, funny, and brave.”
