**Hyderabad, Telangana, November 21, 2024** – A significant cold wave has gripped Hyderabad, with temperatures plummeting to their lowest in several areas. Residents are battling chilly winds and dense fog, particularly in the early mornings, causing significant disruption to commuters.
Patancheru recorded the lowest temperature at a chilling 12.2 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Other areas experienced similarly low temperatures: Rajendranagar (13°C), Hayathnagar (14.6°C), Begumpet (15.1°C), and Dundigal and Hakimpeta (15.3°C). The city’s maximum temperature reached 29.2°C.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Begumpet has predicted that these frigid conditions will persist for the next five days. Surface winds are expected to blow from the east and northeast at speeds of 4-8 kilometers per hour. Humidity levels were reported at 62%. The early morning fog is causing significant visibility issues, making driving difficult.
