**New Delhi, November 21, 2024** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheet for the 2025 Class 10 and 12 board examinations, a full 86 days in advance. Exams will commence on February 15, 2025, marking an unprecedented early release of the schedule.
Over 4.4 million students from 8,000 schools across India and 26 countries are expected to appear for the exams. The Class 10 exams will conclude on March 18, 2025, while Class 12 exams will finish on April 4, 2025. All exams will be held in the morning shift, with most papers scheduled from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and some from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Class 10 exams begin with English on February 15th, while Class 12 commences with Entrepreneurship.
The CBSE has taken steps to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations. Practical exams for schools in winter zones will be held between November 5th and December 5th, 2024, while those in other regions begin January 1st, 2025. Furthermore, all exam halls must be equipped with CCTV cameras, as mandated by the board on September 27th. CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that the timetable considers at least 40,000 subject combinations to avoid scheduling conflicts.
