Wed Nov 20 18:36:18 UTC 2024: ## Chennai Holds ‘Walk for Children’ Rally to Raise Awareness on Child Rights
**Chennai, November 20, 2024** – Approximately 200 people participated in a “Walk for Children” rally in Chennai on Wednesday to raise awareness about child rights and protection. Organized by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Chennai North, the event coincided with National Children’s Day, World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse, and World Children’s Day.
The rally, which began at the District Collector’s office, involved staff from childcare institutions, police and government officials, and students from schools and colleges. Following the walk, District Child Protection Officer M. Mathiazhagan launched a signature campaign urging the prevention of child labor and abuse.
