**Hyderabad, November 21, 2024** – The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Telangana has arrested two government officials on bribery charges in separate incidents.
In the first case, P. Sachin Kumar, a panchayat secretary in Atmakur village, Sangareddy district, was apprehended while accepting a ₹10,000 bribe, the first installment of a ₹30,000 bribe demanded for a house number allotment. Negotiations resulted in the remaining ₹15,000 being paid. The ACB investigation revealed that Kumar, during his previous posting in Ilapur village, had similarly demanded a bribe for the same service. The recovered bribe money was seized, and Kumar was presented before the Special Court for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad.
Separately, Kalangi Jyothi Kshema Bai, a senior draftsman with the Assistant Director, Survey and Land Records office in Mahabubabad, was arrested for accepting a ₹20,000 bribe to issue a Tippan record for land purchased by a complainant and their relatives in Gumuduru village. The bribe money was recovered, and Kshema Bai was produced before the Special Court for SPE and ACB Cases in Warangal.
Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
