**Patna, [Date]:** The Bihar Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, held a crucial meeting today, approving nine proposals. Key decisions include a significant increase in ex-gratia payments for families of martyred BMP and CRPF personnel, the construction of a new Road Over Bridge (ROB), and the development of new roads in Chapra.

The ex-gratia amount for the families of fallen soldiers has been doubled, rising from ₹11 lakh to ₹21 lakh. A ₹10.92 crore ROB will be constructed between Dumri Halt and Pothahi railway stations near Patna, impacting the NH-83 Patna-Gaya rail line. Chapra will see the construction of new roads, including a 1.40 km long four-lane road near the medical college, along with two 2 km long two-lane roads, with a total cost of ₹43.40 crore.

Further, Chief Minister Kumar will embark on a statewide tour in the first week of December, following the winter session of the state assembly. This tour will include participation in a “Mahila Samvad” (Women’s Dialogue) program, costing ₹225.78 crore, aimed at engaging with women and addressing their concerns. The program will involve interactions with Jeevika Didi (Self Help Groups) and will be held across all districts with ministers and in-charge ministers in attendance.
