**Mumbai, India (November 20, 2024)** – The Adani Group, led by Gautam Adani, is set to construct India’s largest international convention center in Mumbai, posing a direct challenge to Reliance Industries’ Jio World Centre. The project, estimated to cost $2 billion (approximately ₹17,000 crore), will be located near the Mumbai International Airport.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has already approved the design, with a detailed blueprint expected within the next two months. The massive 1.5 million square foot facility will boast seating for 15,000 to 20,000 people, surpassing the capacity of the existing Jio World Centre. It will also include a 275-room five-star hotel. While Adani Realty will manage the real estate aspects, ownership will rest with Adani Airport Holdings.

This ambitious project, situated near Vile Parle’s western suburbs, aims to significantly boost Mumbai’s business and tourism sectors by providing a state-of-the-art venue for large-scale conferences and exhibitions. The center is expected to attract both domestic and international participants, furthering economic growth in the region.
