**VISAKHAPATNAM, November 19, 2024** – Over 8,000 students from 120 schools are showcasing their talents at the three-day Visakha Balotsavam, a mega event underway at St. Anthony’s School in Visakhapatnam. The festival, which began on Tuesday, features 84 cultural events, including singing, games, and various art forms.

Central Sahitya Akademi award recipient Bethavolu Ramabrahmam, attending the inaugural function, praised the organizers for providing a platform for students to display their skills. He urged children to actively participate and encouraged parents and teachers to support their involvement. Former MLC M.V.S. Sarma echoed these sentiments, highlighting the Balotsavam’s role in broadening children’s horizons and advocating for the inclusion of moral education in their upbringing.

Balotsavam secretary G. Rajeswara Rao stated that the event is the culmination of two months of preparation and registration. K. Ramaprabha, the vice chairperson, confirmed the impressive number of cultural events planned throughout the three-day festival. The event also saw the participation of representatives from various organizations including the Bal Vikas Foundation and Aasara Charitable Trust.
