**St. Louis, MO – November 20, 2024** – The St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks will face off in a highly anticipated Discover NHL Winter Classic game at Wrigley Field on December 31st, and today the teams revealed specially designed retro jerseys to commemorate the occasion. Both teams’ uniforms pay homage to their respective cities’ rich hockey histories and broader sporting legacies.
The Blackhawks’ jersey features a classic cream color reminiscent of the Original Six era, a lace-neck collar, stars from the Chicago flag on the crest, and subtle pinstripes on the numbers, a nod to the city’s baseball tradition. The Blues’ jersey, for the first time, omits the iconic Blue Note from the chest, instead sporting a design inspired by a 1966 prototype. The jersey incorporates a vintage-style Blue Note on the shoulder and fleur-de-lis detailing, representing St. Louis.
