This follows discussions between the Argentina Football Association (AFA) and Kerala’s Sports Minister, V. Abdurahman. The news fulfills a long-held dream for Kerala’s ardent football fans, many of whom hoped to see Lionel Messi play in their state.
While the Indian Football Association previously attempted to bring Argentina to India, financial constraints hampered those efforts. However, the Kerala government successfully negotiated the deal. Details regarding the number of matches, opposing teams, and specific dates are yet to be released.
