**Hyderabad, November 19, 2024** – The Telangana State Eligibility Test (TG TET) for teachers, the qualifying exam for teaching positions in Telangana state schools, is fast approaching its application deadline. The notification for the exam was released on November 7th, 2024, and the online application process concludes tomorrow, November 20th.
Candidates who have already applied can make corrections to their applications until November 22nd. The exam itself will be held between January 1st and January 20th, 2025.
Candidates who appeared for the May/June 2024 exam and either failed or wish to improve their scores are exempt from paying the examination fee. New applicants will pay ₹750 for one paper and ₹1000 for both papers.
To be eligible, applicants must possess a D.El.Ed, D.Ed, B.Ed, or Language Pandit degree or be in the final year of one of these programs with the required marks. Successful candidates will be eligible to teach classes 1-8 in government and private schools across Telangana.
Passing marks are 60% for the general category, 50% for the BC category, and 40% for SC/ST and differently-abled candidates.
