**Chennai, November 19, 2024** – The Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) has announced the opening of admissions for the 2025-26 academic year, along with a substantial new scholarship program. The institute is offering a ₹5 crore K.C.G. Verghese Merit Scholarship providing up to 100% tuition waivers for high-achieving Class XII and university entrance exam candidates. A separate Sports Excellence Scholarship will also offer full tuition waivers, free accommodation, and professional athletic training.

Applications are now open for the HITS Engineering Entrance Examination (HITSEEE) for B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Des., and integrated M.Tech programs. The deadline to apply is April 25, 2025, with the exam scheduled for April 28 to May 3, 2025. Counseling will take place from May 12 to 19, 2025, with classes commencing in July 2025.

For students pursuing non-engineering programs, the HITS Common Aptitude Test (HITSCAT) applications will open on December 4, 2024, for undergraduate programs in the School of Liberal and Creative Arts (SLiCA), School of Basic and Applied Sciences (SBAS), School of Management (SoM) BBA, School of Health Sciences (SoHS), and School of Law (SoL). The deadline for HITSCAT applications is May 14, 2025, with the exam taking place on May 19 and 20, 2025. Counseling will be held from June 2 to 9, 2025, with classes also starting in July 2025.
