**New Delhi, India –** Kawasaki has announced a price increase for its ZX-4R and ZX-4RR motorcycles in the Indian market. The ZX-4R now retails for ₹8.79 lakh (ex-showroom), a ₹30,000 jump from its previous price. The ZX-4RR sees a similar increase, now priced at ₹9.42 lakh (ex-showroom).
While the ZX-4R remains unchanged mechanically, the ZX-4RR receives a new optional triple-tone color scheme (Lime Green, Ebony, and Pearl Blizzard White). Both models continue to boast a 399cc inline four-cylinder engine compliant with BS6.2 emission norms. The ZX-4R produces 75 hp and 39 Nm of torque, while the ZX-4RR offers slightly more power at 77 hp and the same torque. Both bikes feature a 6-speed gearbox, but the ZX-4RR adds a bi-directional quickshifter.
Other key features shared by both models include LED headlamps, a 4.3-inch TFT display with two modes (Normal and Circuit), smartphone connectivity, and four riding modes. The ZX-4RR distinguishes itself with higher-spec Showa suspension units, compared to the standard inverted front forks and rear monoshock of the ZX-4R. Braking is handled by dual 290mm front discs and a 220mm rear disc on both. Both motorcycles share identical dimensions including ground clearance (135 mm), seat height (800 mm), and kerb weight (189 kg).
Despite the price increase, the Kawasaki ZX-4R and ZX-4RR remain the most expensive 400cc motorcycles in India, lacking direct competition but offering a compelling alternative to higher-capacity bikes like the Triumph Daytona 660.
