Mon Nov 18 09:23:45 UTC 2024: ## Karnataka Congress MLAs Deny BJP Defection Offers

**Belagavi, Karnataka – November 18, 2024** – Two Congress MLAs from Belagavi have vehemently denied allegations of receiving monetary offers from the BJP to switch parties. The denials follow claims by Mandya MLA Ganiga Ravi that BJP attempted to entice Kittur MLA Babasaheb Patil with a ₹100 crore bribe.

While admitting to receiving an offer to join the BJP earlier this year, during the formation of the Congress government, Patil insisted it was based on friendship, not monetary incentives. He stated that no such offers have been made since.

Kagwad MLA Raju Kage, also a Congress member, completely denied any contact from the BJP, expressing confusion over the inclusion of his name in the allegations. He plans to address the issue directly with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru on November 19th.
