**Chandigarh, Nov 14, 2024** – The Haryana Education Department has announced a change in school timings effective November 15th, in response to the dropping temperatures. The new schedule aims to mitigate the impact of the increasingly cold weather on students.
Single-shift schools will now open at 9:30 AM, instead of their previous timings, and close at 3:30 PM. Double-shift schools will also see adjusted timings: the first shift will run from 7:55 AM to 12:30 PM, while the second shift will operate from 12:40 PM to 5:15 PM.
The revised timetable, issued by the Director of School Education, has been communicated to all District Education Officers and District Basic Education Officers for immediate implementation across the state. The decision reflects the state government’s proactive measures to ensure students’ comfort and well-being during the winter months.
