**Mumbai, November 16, 2024** – NTPC Green Energy Ltd., a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., is set to launch its initial public offering (IPO) on Tuesday, November 19th. The IPO, entirely a fresh issue of shares, aims to raise ₹10,000 crore (approximately $1.2 billion USD) and seeks a company valuation of nearly ₹1 lakh crore (approximately $12 billion USD).

The IPO will open on November 19th and close on November 22nd, with a price band set between ₹102 and ₹108 per share. A lot size of 138 shares will require a minimum investment of ₹14,904 for retail investors. The offering reserves 75% of the shares for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), 15% for Non-Institutional Investors, and 10% for Retail Investors.

Proceeds from the IPO will be used to invest in the wholly-owned subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NREL), and for general corporate purposes. Listing on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) is anticipated on November 27th.

IDBI Capital Market Services, HDFC Bank, IIFL Securities, and Nuvama Wealth Management are the book-running lead managers, with Kfin Technologies serving as the registrar. While the grey market premium is currently showing a muted ₹1 per share, Reliance Securities has recommended a “Subscribe” rating for the IPO, citing NTPC Green Energy’s strong financial performance, growth potential, and contribution to India’s net-zero goals.

NTPC Green Energy is the largest renewable energy public sector enterprise (excluding hydro) in India, boasting a significant portfolio of solar and wind projects across multiple states. The company’s revenue has shown substantial growth, increasing from ₹910 crore in FY22 to ₹1,963 crore in FY24.
