**MUMBAI** – Reports surfaced today alleging a physical altercation between Dilip Joshi, the actor who plays Jethalal in the popular Hindi sitcom *Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma*, and the show’s producer, Asit Kumar Modi. The alleged incident, which reportedly occurred during the last day of shooting for actor Kush Shah (who played Goli), stemmed from a dispute over Joshi’s request for a few days off.
According to sources, Modi allegedly dismissed Joshi’s leave request, leading to a heated argument that escalated into a physical confrontation, with Joshi reportedly grabbing Modi’s collar and threatening to leave the show. Modi subsequently attempted to de-escalate the situation. While the report suggests frequent disagreements between Joshi and Modi, the alleged physical altercation is a new development.
However, fellow cast members have denied the incident. Amit Bhatt, and Mandar Chandwadkar (who plays Bhide) both dismissed the reports as untrue and unfounded rumors.
