**NEW DELHI** – Delhi’s air quality has plummeted to “severe plus,” the worst level this season, forcing the city government to implement Stage 4 restrictions to combat the crisis. These measures, effective immediately, include a ban on the entry of most trucks into the city, with only those providing essential services exempted. Lighter commercial vehicles registered outside Delhi are also prohibited, along with BS-IV and older diesel vehicles.

All construction activity has been temporarily halted. Schools are advised to switch to online classes, government colleges are closed, and government offices are operating at 50% capacity.
