**New Delhi, November 18** – Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) are grappling with a severe air pollution crisis, with air quality index (AQI) levels exceeding 700 in several areas. Mundka, Delhi, recorded a shocking AQI of 1185 at 6:45 AM today. In response to the alarming situation, the government has implemented GRAP-4 (Graded Response Action Plan), triggering restrictions on vehicular movement.

The new guidelines, effective from 8 AM today, include a ban on the entry of several heavy vehicles and specific commercial vehicles from outside Delhi. Electric vehicles are exempt. The government has also advised all offices (both government and private) and schools to operate at 50% capacity, strongly encouraging work-from-home arrangements.

The deteriorating air quality has prompted immediate action to curb pollution levels and mitigate the health risks to the population. The situation is expected to remain critical in the coming days.
