**New Delhi, Nov 17** – Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot has resigned from his ministerial post and also quit the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), sending shockwaves through the ruling party. In a resignation letter addressed to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, Gahlot cited the party’s failure to fulfill key election promises as his reason for leaving.
Gahlot specifically mentioned the party’s inability to clean the Yamuna River, a key promise made during the elections. He expressed disappointment at the lack of progress on this and other unfulfilled commitments.
Speculation is rife that Gahlot may soon join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), though he hasn’t confirmed this. His departure is a significant blow to the AAP government in Delhi, led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
