**CHENNAI, November 17, 2024** – The Class XI A batch of 1974 from Ramakrishna Math School on Bazullah Road celebrated their golden jubilee reunion by donating ₹1.30 lakh to their alma mater. The donation will fund the installation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at the school, a request made by the school authorities to the alumni.
Twenty-two alumni contributed to the fund, with individual contributions remaining undisclosed to maintain privacy. P.R. Venkatasubramanian, an alumnus and coordinator of the event, stated that the group desired to contribute something meaningful to the school. The donation was deposited directly to the ashram.
The November 10th reunion also commemorated the 50th anniversary of the alumni’s SSLC completion at the school, where they had all studied since the sixth grade. A.N. Raman and V. Swaminathan assisted in organizing the reunion.
