Agrawal attributed the FII sell-off partly to investments in China and the US market following Donald Trump’s win, and partly to Indian company earnings not meeting expectations. He advised retail investors to remain patient and hold onto their investments. He acknowledged the recovery could take up to six months, but expressed confidence it would happen, suggesting fiscal and monetary support will be forthcoming. The current FII exodus, he emphasized, presents a buying opportunity for those with a long-term perspective.
