According to reports by News18, the incident occurred in August.
The dispute reportedly stemmed from Joshi’s request for a few days off. Modi allegedly postponed the discussion, angering Joshi, who threatened to leave the show. Tension further escalated during the last day of shooting for actor Kush Shah (who plays Goli). Joshi waited for Modi, but Modi instead went directly to Shah, triggering a confrontation. The argument intensified to the point of a physical altercation, with Joshi allegedly grabbing Modi’s collar. While Modi reportedly calmed the situation later, this isn’t the first reported clash between the two.
Joshi has been a mainstay on the show for 16 years, portraying the iconic Jethalal. However, the show has seen a significant turnover of cast members in recent years, including Disha Vakani, Raj Anadkat, and Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal.
