Sun Nov 17 03:18:03 UTC 2024: ## Nayanthara Slams Dhanush in Explosive Open Letter, Receives Industry Support
**CHENNAI, INDIA** – A major controversy is brewing in the Tamil film industry after actress Nayanthara publicly accused Dhanush of suing her for ₹10 crore (approximately $1.2 million USD) over the use of three seconds of behind-the-scenes footage in her upcoming Netflix documentary, “Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale.”
In a scathing open letter shared on social media, Nayanthara detailed her attempts to obtain permission to use footage from the film *Naanum Rowdy Dhaan*, which Dhanush produced. She claimed that after being denied permission, her team opted for publicly available footage only to receive a legal notice from Dhanush after the documentary trailer’s release. Nayanthara described the lawsuit as “an all-time low” and questioned Dhanush’s public persona.
The letter has gone viral, sparking a wave of support for Nayanthara from fellow actresses who have collaborated with Dhanush. Several actresses, including Shruti Haasan, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nazriya Fahadh, Anupama Parameswaran, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Manjima Mohan, and Gouri G Kishan, publicly showed their support by liking Nayanthara’s post. Parvathy Thiruvothu even shared the post on her Instagram stories, expressing solidarity.
Dhanush has yet to respond to Nayanthara’s allegations. “Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale” is slated for release on Netflix on November 18th and will chronicle Nayanthara’s life and career, including her relationship with director Vignesh Shivan, which began on the set of *Naanum Rowdy Dhaan*. The controversy promises to further escalate as the documentary’s release date approaches.
