Sun Nov 17 06:37:17 UTC 2024: ## Ronaldo Hints at Retirement in Next Two Years

**RIYADH, Saudi Arabia** – Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted at retirement within the next one to two years, leaving fans speculating about the future of one of the sport’s greatest players. The 39-year-old Al-Nassr forward, who recently scored twice in Portugal’s 5-1 victory over Poland, continues to defy age, boasting a remarkable 910 career goals and a record 135 international goals. He also holds the record for most international wins by a male player with 132.

Despite his continued success, Ronaldo acknowledges the twilight of his career, stating that motivation will dictate his playing future. “I just want to enjoy. If it has to happen, in one or two years… I don’t know. I’m turning 40 soon,” he said. He ruled out a transition to coaching, indicating his post-football plans lie elsewhere. Any decision regarding his international future will be made carefully and without prior announcement, he added.

While his future in international football remains uncertain, Ronaldo confirmed his commitment to Al-Nassr, suggesting the Saudi Arabian club could be his last. “Probably I will retire here. I’m very happy at this club. I feel good in this country, and I want to continue,” he said. Since joining Al-Nassr in January 2023, he has scored 68 goals and provided 18 assists in 79 appearances.

Ronaldo’s illustrious career began at Sporting Lisbon in 2002 and has since included dominant spells at Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, solidifying his place as one of football’s all-time greats.
