**Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, November 16, 2024** – A horrific car accident on the Dehradun-Nainital Highway claimed the lives of seven people, including a newlywed couple, early Saturday morning. The accident occurred near the Dhampur fire station around 2 am when a car overtaking another vehicle struck a tempo from behind. The impact caused the tempo to crash into an electric pole.

Six members of the same family traveling in the tempo were killed instantly. The tempo driver, Ajab Singh, succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital. Two individuals in the car sustained injuries. Police have sent the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem examinations and are investigating the cause of the accident.
