**Thanjavur, November 16, 2024** – The Peravurani Taluk Train Passengers’ Association has urged the Tiruchi Divisional Railway Manager to reinstate the senior citizen train fare concessions withdrawn during the COVID-19 pandemic. The association’s memorandum highlights that before the pandemic, women aged 58 and above received a 50% concession, while men and transpersons aged 60 and above received a 40% discount. In addition to the fare concession, the association is also requesting a new Chennai-Rameswaram train route via Peravurani, and a stop at Peravurani for all passenger trains.
