Sat Nov 16 08:04:42 UTC 2024: ## Dehradun Car Crash: Survivor’s Father Pleads for Compassion Amidst Rumor Mill

**Dehradun, Uttarakhand:** The father of Siddhesh Agrawal, the sole survivor of a horrific car crash that killed six young people in Dehradun on November 12th, has appealed for an end to the rampant speculation surrounding the incident. Vipin Agarwal urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified reports alleging that the group was partying, drinking, and racing before the tragedy.

“We have lost six children,” Agarwal told India Today TV. “Their families are in deep distress. One child is still in the ICU. Please show compassion and empathy.”

Initial reports suggested the group, comprised of students, had been drinking and racing a BMW prior to the crash, which resulted in the Innova car they were traveling in being severely damaged. However, police investigations have yet to confirm these claims. While police are investigating potential overspeeding and impaired driving, no alcohol consumption has been confirmed by medical reports or autopsies. Furthermore, CCTV footage reviewed by police shows the Innova traveling at a normal speed until shortly before the impact, with no BMW visible in the footage. Rumors circulating on social media about victims leaning out of the car windows are also unconfirmed.

The victims, identified as Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), and Guneet (19), were traveling in a car recently purchased by Atul Agrawal’s father. Atul was reportedly driving at the time of the 1:30 AM collision at ONGC Chowk, where the Innova struck a truck from behind. The accident is under investigation.
