**ATHENS, TX** – An AMBER Alert is currently active for 11-year-old Mia James, who was last seen Thursday night in Athens, Texas. James, described as approximately 5’6″ tall and weighing 98 pounds with blue eyes, was wearing a teal long-sleeved hoodie with the word “venom” in glitter and black shorts at the time of her disappearance.
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating James. She was last seen in the 6200 block of County Road 3925. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately at 903-677-6311.
The AMBER Alert system, named after nine-year-old Amber Hagerman who was kidnapped and killed in Arlington, Texas, is being utilized in this urgent search effort. This information was released by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
