**New Delhi, India** – The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has announced the opening of 90 apprenticeship positions across various engineering and trade disciplines. Applications are now open and will close on November 20th, 2024. Aspiring apprentices can apply online through the official Apprenticeship India portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).
The available positions are distributed as follows: 17 for Civil Engineers, 20 for Electrical Engineers, 15 for Computer Science Engineers, 8 for Mechanical Engineers, 5 for Fitters, 10 for Mechanical Motor Vehicle specialists, 10 for Electricians, and 5 for Draftsmen.
Stipend amounts vary depending on the position: Graduate Apprentices will receive Rs 15,000 per month, Technical (Diploma) Apprentices Rs 12,000, and Trade Apprentices (ITI) Rs 9,000.
The AAI emphasizes that the training location will be determined by the authority and is non-negotiable. Applicants who have previously completed an apprenticeship, terminated one prematurely, or are currently undertaking an apprenticeship with the same qualification level elsewhere are ineligible.
Selection will be based on the candidates’ qualifying examination marks. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted via email for an interview and document verification. Final selection is contingent upon a successful interview, certificate verification, and submission of a medical fitness certificate. Preference will be given to candidates registered in the North Eastern Region for postings in that area.
