Sat Nov 16 06:18:21 UTC 2024: ## Mumbai: Police Arrest Key Accused in Baba Siddiqui Murder, Linking Crime to Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
**Mumbai, India** – Shivkumar Gautam, the main accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, has confessed to communicating with Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Police have revealed that Anmol Bishnoi, believed to be currently in Canada and on the National Investigation Agency’s most wanted list, ordered the assassination. The order was to shoot the first person they saw, claiming it was for God and society.
Gautam was apprehended in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, while attempting to flee to Nepal. Four others – Anurag Kashyap, Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Akash Shrivastav, and Akhileshndra Pratap Singh – have also been arrested for allegedly aiding Gautam’s escape.
Siddiqui, a former Maharashtra minister, was shot dead in Bandra on October 12th. This arrest comes after the police had already apprehended 20 individuals, including two shooters, in connection with the case.
